The Port Jefferson Middle School Student Council recently concluded a successful fundraiser for Beth Stern’s Bianca’s Furry Friends.
Together, the students worked to raise $1,787 for the feline adoption center by hosting several fundraising activities throughout the month of March. To raise the money, the council held a naming contest for one of Stern’s Foster kittens, hosted a back sale, sold raffle tickets for a chance to win one of 10 signed copies of “Yoda Gets a Buddy” by Stern, and organized an Amazing Race, featuring minute to win it-style activities.
